Ron Paulin has been a legend in the insurance industry for over 40 years. He earned his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, the premier designation in the insurance field.

Several decades ago, Ron established a successful insurance agency that is still thriving today. Ron is a past President of the Deep South Chapter of CPCU, of the New Orleans Insurance Institute and of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Louisiana (“The Big I”) who honored him for his outstanding service after his term in office. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Big I. Ron also taught insurance classes at Tulane University for many years.

Ron was named as one of the 2015 “Top 50 Money Makers” by New Orleans CityBusiness. This honor is given to individuals who significantly contribute to the financial and economic health of the metropolitan area by their dedication in specific areas of commerce. He was the “Employee in the Spotlight” in a past edition of the Eagan “Envoy” newsletter.

A graduate of Brother Martin, Ron is deeply involved in the school, both in terms of its leadership and in securing it’s financial future. He was honored as Brother Martin’s “Alumnus of the Year” in 1990. Ron tirelessly works for the Archdiocese of New Orleans and was awarded the Order of St. Louis by the Archbishop for his dedication and leadership in the Catholic community. He is devoted to the Church, serving as a lector at Divine Mercy Church and continuing his work with the Archdiocese. Ron is actively involved in his wife’s charity work, including Catholic Charities’ “Adopt A Family” program, which provides families with Christmas gifts and food during the holiday season, Raintree Children and Family Services, Magnolia Foundation and Angel Wings Foundation. He was selected as King of the Corps de Napoleon in 2011. He participates actively in the political election process, hosting many “meet and greets” for local and regional politicians at his home. He is an avid Saints and Pelicans fan, with season tickets to both organizations.
