Born and educated in New Orleans, Cindy Paulin has immersed herself in local society. An honor graduate of John Mc Donogh High School, alumna of Mu Alpha Theta and graduate of the Insurance Institute of America, her career accomplishments are extensive and her energy is legendary.
Cindy has been a prominent figure in the insurance industry since 1968. She achieved the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) insurance designations and taught CIC classes for several years. She is a member and past president of the Society of CPCU and an active member of The Insurance Professionals of Greater New Orleans, where she held several offices over the past years. She is an insurance associate at Eagan Insurance Agency, where she is responsible for sales and service of large and small commercial and personal lines insurance policies. Cindy has a very large commercial client base, as well as a personal lines clientele that includes many affluent customers with special coverage requirements. She was featured in the Spring, 2011 “Eagan Envoy” as the Employee in the Spotlight. Cindy is also responsible for hosting the Eagan Insurance hospitality booth at the annual Greater New Orleans and Mississippi Gulf Coast Boat Shows.
Cindy is on the Board of Directors for Raintree Children and Family Services, serves as President of the Magnolia Foundation and of Angel Wings Foundation, both local non-profit organizations, and is a member of St. Elizabeth’s Guild, a fund-raising charity which supports the Padua Center for handicapped children and provides independent living skills for foster children in the State of Louisiana. Through the Magnolia Foundation, Cindy is actively involved in “Key to the Cure”, a program dedicated to cancer research. She is also President of the Homeowner’s Association for Place Pontchartrain, a lector at Divine Mercy Church, a member of Southern Yacht Club, and a member of Chateau Country Club. Cindy and husband Ron are avid fans and season ticket holders of the New Orleans Saints and the New Orleans Pelicans.
Cindy was named one of New Orleans City Business’ “Women of the Year” for 2012. This honor is bestowed on only fifty women in the New Orleans area for their exceptional charitable, business and philanthropic work. She was honored by St. Elizabeth’s Guild as one of “New Orleans’ Best” in 2012. Cindy is a generous personal contributor to Catholic Charities’ “Adopt A Family” program and was instrumental in securing the local Society of CPCU as a partner with her in adopting deserving families during the holiday season. Because of this unselfish act of kindness, she was featured in the November, 2011 edition of “Visibility Spotlight”, published by the Society of CPCU, outlining the many public and private works of charity that Cindy promotes. Cindy followed up this donation with a “Christmas in July” surprise food donation for the family. Additionally, she was honored as Queen of the Corps de Napoleon in 2010.
Cindy loves to read and travel. Her daughter, Leslie Kyle, an Account Executive at Eagan Insurance, has been her commercial assistant for 18 years. She is the proud grandmother of 5 and lives in Kenner with her husband Ron, who is also an Insurance Associate and a vital part of Eagan’s staff.
